Background: Stretching your back can be a good thing, particularly if you have poor posture, perform heavy lifting or if your back is constantly tight and uncomfortable. This is a pretty good, quick stretch for you back that may give you some relief.
Sit down on the mat. Bend one leg so that the sole of the foot rest flat on the ground. Take your foot and place it on the other side of your leg. Take the elbow that is on the same side as the foot with the sole flat on the ground and place it on the other side of your knee. stretch as much as tolerated.
Avoid the temptation to overstretch. A stretch should be a “comfortable pull.”
