I had to come up with something.

This workout not only needed to be compact, it needed to be effective. In a few minutes time, I needed to perform a cardio workout and resistance training workout that targeted the entire body. Yes, I needed to perform the ultimate compact workout routine!

Every now and then, this is the kind of workout that you need to have available in your toolbox. It is often too temping and to easy to miss a workout session because you do not have enough time and don’t think that you can address everything.

Well, believe me. This Ultimate Compact Workout Routine will meet your needs in only a few minutes time. Knock out cardio and a few cornerstone total body resistance training exercises to stay on track!

Perform each exercise as directed,

Let’s start this ultimate compact workout routine with Mountain Climbers. This exercise mixes cardio with some resistance training as you have to hold yourself up to perform. Perform 5 rounds of 20:20 intervals, meaning that you perform Mountain Climbers for 20 seconds, and then rest for 20 seconds. 

Keep your heart rate up with some Jumping Jacks. Again, perform 5 rounds of 20:20 intervals. Make sure that you perform as many Jumping Jacks, as fast as possible, during each 20 second bout.

Perform this excellent total body resistance training exercise with a dumbbell or kettlebell. Do as many as you can on each side until you can’t complete any more repetitions with good form (AKA burnout!)

 

Put some more burn in those legs with Squat Jumps! Perform 5 rounds of 20:20 intervals.

Perform 5 sets of burnouts! Do as many push ups in each set as possible without taking a break.
