res·o·lu·tion  (rz-lshn) n. – The state or quality of being resolute; firm determination.

As we thank God for allowing us to live and breathe through another year, it’s time to put a new stake in the ground to mark firm, determined habits for the new year as we get lean!

While virtually every media site will present a new 2014 exercise fad, or provide some type of motivational message — sometimes, we just need to get up and get to exercising! This indeed is the challenge, because many of us have probably been pretty sedentary for the entire month of December. And this is understandable, and okay. We sometimes need a break in routine, but now it’s time to get back into focus.

This year, consider looking at exercise, health and fitness as something that intrigues you. Something that you need to know more about and understand better. Make it a goal this year to become as healthy as you ever have been in life! Why not? What do you have to lose? Just take it one day at a time, and plan to do something for yourself and health each day.

Imagine looking back this time next year (and we know the past year went by fast!) and realizing not only how healthy you have become, but also how much knowledge you have gained about fitness!

No just follow through…

Here is a “gentle, but complete” New Year circuit workout routine to get you started.

New Year’s Circuit Workout

Perform each exercise for 1 minute, and then move onto the next exercise. Repeat the circuit 4 times.
Do as many as you can! Wake up those lower body muscles!
Now that your muscles are awake, let’s work the upper body!
Core time!!!
Try to hold for entire minute!
