Many things in life can make us feel good, and exercise is definitely one of them. The issue that we face with reaping the “feel good” benefits of exercise is that it takes a bit of effort to workout. Other things that we do to feel good typically do not require as much work.

The other caveat to keep in mind is that certain types of exercise make us feel better from a biochemical standpoint. Most types of exercise can help us to relax and release stress, but intense cardio and heavy weight lifting exercises specifically release endorphins (the “feel good” hormone).

Let’s go ahead and tap into this endorphin release and challenge ourselves. Push yourself to the limits now and enjoy the rush of relaxation to follow!
