I love simple, but fancy workout routines. I am a huge supporter of high-intensity interval training, but do agree that an occasional longer run is appropriate. A 5K, or 5 kilometer run should be attainable if you have been regularly running, even if just performing high-intensity workouts. There is not much advice that I have other than to enjoy the day’s run. I do challenge you to run it as fast as you can, but don’t feel pressured to. Sometimes it’s nice to just comfortably run.
Today’s 5K Workout Routine
Your last challenge is simple — but (wait for it…) challenging! Take your car out for a spin and measure 3.2 miles or 5 kilometers in distance, or use a GPS app on your phone.
