Working out with a partner makes exercise much more enjoyable. Even better, a couples workout routine builds commitment, community health and sexual health! Because you are working out together, you can encourage each other as you both work towards a common goal of fitness.

I present to you the 20-Minute  Circuit for Couples Workout Routine. It’s simple, and these are the types of exercises that the two of you can do together easily. The couple workout routine is in a circuit-style format, so the workout is intense, with little down time.

So, while Friday Night is “Date Night,” make three other nights your “Couple Workout Routine Nights,” so both of you can get into great shape and enjoy each others physique!

Your Couples Workout Routine


Perform each exercise for 90 seconds. Finish all of the exercises, take a one-minute break, and then repeat.

 If you are using a heavy weight to build muscle, move at a slower pace to build muscle. If you are using a lighter weight, you may go at a faster pace to build endurance.

When you finish this workout, post your time below. Next time you come back to the site, you will be able to reference it.

Muscles Worked: Total body warm up/cardiovascular exercise.

An excellent full body workout…

Muscles Worked:Shoulders, triceps, biceps, quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings.

Up and down… Up and down… Dip it out!

Muscles Worked: Triceps.

45 seconds each leg. Keep encouraging each other!

Muscles Worked: Glutes, hamstrings

For the beach muscles…

Muscles Worked: Biceps, shoulders, trapezius, core muscles.

Hold for as long as you can for a total of 90 seconds.

Muscles Worked: Abdominal muscles, back muscles.

Don’t forget to repeat the circuit!
